The Deputy President of the Institute of National Remembrance Karol Polejowski, Ph.D. participated in the ceremony of awarding persons of particular merit for democratic changes in Poland.

On 17 May 2024, at the Belweder, Minister Andrzej Dera presented the medals on behalf of Polish President Andrzej Duda. The Centennial Medal of Independence was awarded to Grzegorz Majchrzak, Ph.D., who works at the IPN Historical Research Office.
