The 10th World Convention of Polish Teachers was held on 17–19 May 2024. This year's reunion took place in Italy and was prepared within the Polish Community Association project On the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino – the Contribution of Poles in the World. Polish Armed Forces in the West. The convention was organized by the Teacher Training Center (ODN) of the Polish Community Association. The meeting gathers annually almost 150 educators from the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus, Montenegro, Australia, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Uzbekistan, Latvia, Estonia, Austria, Hungary and other countries of the world. Meetings and sessions are always a good opportunity to evaluate Polish education abroad and discuss future challenges.
On 18 May in the afternoon, participants of the Teachers' Convention together with the Speaker of Polish Senate Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska and the Senator Bogdan Borusewicz, took part in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino.
On 19 May, the teachers and Polish Community Association representatives headed by its President Dariusz Piotr Bonisławski, visited Monte Cassino Monastery and were given a tour of the IPN Trails of Hope. The Odyssey of Freedom exhibition by Mateusz Marek, Ph.D. – the Deputy Director of the IPN Office of International Cooperation and the author of the exhibition.
