The presentation of the IPN exhibition on Zofia Kossak-Szczucka, accompanying a series of scientific conferences, took place as part of the Zofia Kossak. Escritora, justa entre las naciones, exiliada project organized by the translator of the writer's work, Higinio J.Paterna, and partner institutions.
The project is also being carried out in connection with the publication of Zofia Kossak's book, “Krzyżowcy” [Crusaders; title of the English edition: Angels In The Dust A Novel Of The First Crusade], which Paterna translated into Spanish. The exhibition consists of 15 boards presenting the life and silhouette of the writer. The project has received the patronage of the President of the Institute of National Remembrance, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Spain, the Ulma Family Museum, as well as several Spanish universities and local authorities. In 2024, the IPN released a publication dedicated to the writer's work Ja i moje książki – to jedno. Rozważania o pisarstwie Zofii Kossak [ I and My Books Are One. Reflections on the writings of Zofia Kossak].
On 31March 2025, a conference and official opening of the travelling exhibition were held at the Campus de Posgrado of the University of Navarra in Madrid.
The next day, the exhibition came to Barcelona, where it was presented at the International University of Catalonia [Universidad Internacional de Catalunya].
During both events, a letter from IPN Deputy President Prof. Karol Polejowski addressed to the participants of the events was read out. Sławomir Bardski and Jolanta Nowak from the IPN International Relations Office familiarized the participants with the structure and functioning of the IPN and gave tours of the exhibition. The Madrid conference was inaugurated by the Head of the UNAV Department of Contemporary History Pablo Perez and Higinio J. Paterna. In Barcelona, Mr. Paterna's lecture was preceded by a speech by University Rector Prof. Alfonso Méndiz and a representative of the Polish Consulate, Łukasz Knurowski.
The IPN exhibition was presented during six conferences dedicated to Zofia Kossak and the book “Crusaders” in cities such as Granada, Malaga, Jaen, Madrid, Barcelona and Pamplona.
