On 25 June 2025, in Konstancin-Jeziorna (a part of the Warsaw metropolitan area), a memorial Matzeva was unveiled honouring the Jewish population of the town who contributed to its history over the years and whose lives were cut short by the outbreak of WW2 and the German occupation.

The event was attended by the IPN Deputy President Mateusz Szpytma, Ph.D., Mayor of Konstancin-Jeziorna Michał Wiśniewski and the Director of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum Katarzyna Person. The ceremony included an ecumenical prayer, the laying of wreaths, and a performance by students from local schools.

This Matzeva - set in stone but made of glass - is a special symbol. Its transparency reminds us of the fragility of human fate and, at the same time, of the power of memory. What is invisible to the eye can be sensed through a joint effort to save the truth, said Mateusz Szpytma during the unveiling ceremony.
