The IPN’s New Technology Division had the pleasure of taking part in PAX West 2025 thanks to the national booth organized by the Creative Industries Development Center in cooperation with the Indie Games Poland Foundation, where it presented its own production, “Aviators: War in the Skies”.
The atmosphere in the hall was full of energy and positive emotions. The presentation of “Aviators” at PAX West opened up new opportunities—not only for promoting the game, but also for popularizing Polish history through immersive education and interactive entertainment. From the very first day, the Polish booth became a place for exchanging experiences among developers, influencers, media, and players from around the world.
PAX West 2025 showed that the Polish gaming industry holds a strong position on the international stage and has enormous potential in the field of educational productions. We thank all the players who visited our booth, stopped for longer conversations, or simply tried their hand at Aviators.
We also thank the publishers, hardware producers, and special guests who visited our booth—especially Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs and Honorary Consul of Poland in Seattle, Teresa Indelak Davis. During the meeting, Secretary Hobbs played “Aviators” and showed great interest in the concept of immersive historical education.
We hope to see you again next year. Our presence at PAX West was an important step toward greater visibility for the IPN New Technology Division’s educational games in the U.S., strengthening cooperation and networking between independent developers and American industry players, and reinforcing Poland’s position as a country with strong export potential in the educational video game sector.
“Aviators” is an educational adventure game in the first-person mode, with a total length of gameplay estimated at 2-3 hours. The game contains arcade elements and logic puzzles. The plot is based on real events and characters of Polish airmen serving in the air during WW2.
