Though they differed profoundly - from Józef Piłsudski to Roman Dmowski, Wincenty Witos, Wojciech Korfanty, Ignacy Daszyński, and Ignacy Paderewski — despite their contrasting views and the diverse groups they represented, they were united by a single purpose: the pursuit of a free and sovereign Poland. They fulfilled the hopes of five generations who had longed and worked in pursuit of a sovereign Poland - for our shared homeland,” said the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki.
The official ceremony concluded with a parade of the Polish Armed Forces, which marched in tribute to the heroes who secured Poland’s independence.
