On 26 November 2025, the IPN Lech Kaczyński Central History point was visited by a group of Armenian officials responsible for various aspects of remembrance policy.
The delegation met with Sławomir Bardski of the International Cooperation Office, who presented the activities and ongoing projects carried out by the Institute and screened relevant film materials. The Director of the IPN Office for Commemorating the Struggle and Martyrdom, Adam Siwek, spoke, among others about the IPN’s efforts in taking care of veterans’ graves and the decommunization of public space. Subsequently, Tomasz Morawski and Marta Golińska of the IPN History Points Office discussed the office’s work and international projects. At the end of the visit, the guests were given a tour of the New Technologies Zone, where they tested educational games developed by the Institute.
The meeting at the Institute of National Remembrance formed part of the Armenian delegation’s programme in Poland under the title “The Past for the Future: Memory Policy in Relations with Neighbours – Polish Experience and Practice.” The programme addresses the preservation of Armenian cultural heritage beyond the country’s borders. Discussions on the experience of Polish institutions and the expertise of individual specialists are intended to support Armenian officials in developing a coherent remembrance policy.
