A delegation from the Institute of National Remembrance visited Moldova to hold talks with Moldovan partners on transitional justice, remembrance policy, as well as issues related to security and the economy.
Apart from IPN Deputy President Karol Polejowski the delegation included Minister Agnieszka Jędrzak, Minister Karol Rabenda, and Adrianna Garnik, Director of the Museum of the Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Polish People’s Republic.
During the visit, Deputy President Polejowski met with members of the Polish community in Moldova and assured them that they can count on the Institute’s continued support for initiatives aimed at preserving Polish identity and remembrance.
At the National Museum of History of Moldova, President Polejowski presented the IPN’s structure and model of operation, its achievements, and institutional experience. He also formally presented the Act on the Institute of National Remembrance to Moldovan partners and invited them to visit the Institute in Poland.
The programme concluded with a meeting with representatives of the Polish community in Moldova organised by Tomasz Kobzdej, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Moldova, at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Chișinău.
The visit was not only an opportunity to present the "Pact of Criminals" exhibition prepared by the IPN but also a chance to exchange experiences, know-how, and identify potential areas for future cooperation in research, education, and the preservation of historical memory.
