On 22 - 24 April 2026, Deputy Director of the IPN International Cooperation Office, Dr Dorota Lewsza, took part in meetings with representatives of Polish diaspora institutions in Rome, including the Catholic School named after John Paul II, the Polish House on Via Cassia, and the Centre for Documentation and Study of the Pontificate of John Paul II.
The discussions focused on establishing areas of mutual scholarly, research, and educational cooperation addressed both to the Polish diaspora and to the growing number of Poles visiting Rome. Presenting Polish history also in the context of wartime and political emigration constitutes one of the IPN’s key objectives.
Dr Dorota Lewsza also took part in commemorative events in Rome honouring Saint John Paul II. Among a range of cultural activities, a notable performance directed by Jarosław Kilian, John Paul II.
