The Institute of National Remembrance invites You to the new portal: www.marzec1968.pl

Another website of the Institute of National Remembrancehttp://www.marzec1968.pl is up and running. The portal is a comprehensive compendium of information about the events of March 1968. It is history portrayed in a modern form. Short historical informative texts, plenty of newly found photographs, operational videos of the Security Service and the music excerpts from Kazimierz Dejmek’s “Dziady” – are only some of the website’s features. For the people even more interested in the area of the events of March, there are the publications of the IPN, posted in their entirety in the “reading-room” (czytelnia) section.

The portal is aimed directly at the youth, who are little aware (or unaware completely) of the events 40 years ago. The important element of the website is the exposure of scope of the March events, which are being presented through the perspective of the whole country, not just merely through the cities with major academic centers such as Lublin, Wrocław, Poznań, or Cracow – the protests have erupted also in Radom, Legnica or Siedlce.

The introduction of the portal is accompanied by a flyer distribution process, targeting the young with the catchphrase: “40 years ago the youth has fought… Would you have joined them?”. In the flyers, there is also the information on what the March of 1968, really was.
