The Institute of National Remembrance along with its counterparts in the Network have just recently published an informational Reader on the Network. The publication consists of descriptive and informational materials concerning the institutions partaking in the endeavor as well as the full content of the founding agreement and a foreword by Federal Commissioner Marianne Birthler from the BStU. The Reader focuses on each institution’s most important facts, thoroughly describing in each case the following categories: founding history, legal mandate and tasks, legal form and structure of the institution, action on documents and delivery status, access to the secret files, collaborations, perspectives of the institution in the light of the public and political debate. The publication is over 80 pages long and comes with a complimentary CD, on which the national acts (laws) creating each institution are included.
