International Conference "Crimes of Communist Regimes", Prague, February 24-26, 2010

On February 24-26, an international conference "Crimes of Communist Regimes" (http://www.crimesofcommunism.eu) was held in Prague. The objectives of the conference were to provide an overview of the crimes committed by communist regimes behind the Iron Curtain and to evaluate them from the legal point of view.

IPN was represented by Vice President Maria Dmochowska, Dariusz Gabrel, Director of the Chief Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation and Dr. Wladysław Bułhak from the Public Education Office, who presented a paper on the Institute's  implementation of the tasks regarding the prosecution of the communist and Nazi crimes, the crimes against humanity, war crimes and these against peace.
