On 15 August 2020, thanks to the efforts of Adam Gajkowski, the President of the Federation of Polish Associations in New South Wales (Australia) celebrations associated with the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw were organized in Sydney. The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Australia, Michał Kołodziejski, as well as activists and representatives of the Polish community.
As part of the official ceremonies, a roll-call of the Fallen was held, Polish and Australian hymns were played, and tribute was paid to the Fallen. A letter from the President of the Institute of National Remembrance, Jarosław Szarek Ph.D. was read out to the participants of the event.
During the celebrations, speeches were given on the course and meaning of the Battle of Warsaw. Moreover, materials promoting the Battle prepared by the Institute of National Remembrance were presented: a spot, films accompanying the "War of the Worlds" exhibition, animations based on comic books and video recordings by British historian Roger Moorhouse about the significance of the battle.
On 30 August 2020, the English version of the Institute’s exhibition "War of the Worlds" will be presented by the Federation in Sydney.
