On 4 April 2011 at 7 pm a presentation of the book "Polish Socialist Party. Why did it not succeed? Sketches. Memories. Polemics" took place in the Polish Cultural Center in Munich on Prinzregentenstrasse 7. The book has been published by Warsaw Branch of the Institute of National Remembrance.
The presentation was attended by historians of the Institute of National Remembrance: prof. Jerzy Eisler, Director of the Warsaw Branch of the IPN, Jacek Pawłowicz, Polish Socialist Party (PPS) activist in the years 1987-1990 and Robert Spałek, editor of the book.
PPS activists in exile also participated in the presentation. This was where the party was especially active as the backing of the Polish government in London. Structurally the PPS in exile was most developed in West Germany.
The meeting is organized by the Warsaw Branch of the Institute of National Remembrance, the Polish Consulate General in Munich and Association for German-Polish Reconciliation
in Munich.
