In accordance with the Act on the IPN the chairman of the IPN Council was elected during its meeting on 7 April 2011.
Professor Andrzej Paczkowski was elected the chairman of the IPN Council.
Professor Andrzej Chojnowski, Professor Andrzej Friszke, and Antoni Kura, PhD, Prosecutor of the Commission for the Prosecutions of Crimes against the Polish Nation were elected deputy chairmen.

of the Council of the Institute of National Remembrance - Commission for the Prosecutions of Crimes against the Polish Nation
of 7th April 2011
on electing the IPN Council’s chairperson and their deputies
The council stipulates that, basing on article 15, item 16 of the Act of 18th December 1998 on the Institute of National Remembrance - Commission for the Prosecutions of Crimes against the Polish Nation (Journal of Laws, 2007, No. 63, point 424 with later amendments), during the first meeting of the Council Prof. Andrzej Paczkowski was elected chairman, by secret ballot, for one-year term. Prof. Andrzej Chojnowski, Prof. Andrzej Friszke, and Antoni Kura, PhD, were elected deputies of the Chairman by separate secret ballot.
