The exhibition has been prepared at the 60th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising by the Warsaw Branch of the IPN’s Public Education Office, in collaboration with the Gdańsk Branch of the IPN’s Public Education Office and the Warsaw Rising Museum. It has a symbolic meaning - refers to the concepts and symbols that characterise the Warsaw Uprising in a particularly comprevensive and clear manner. The panels refer to the heroic struggle and the collective effort of the insurgents and residents of the capital which give deep meaning to the concepts of solidarity, heroism and sacrifice. They also present the Home Army relief coming from different directions, even from far Nowogródczyzna, about hope in aid of the Western Allies, which proved to be dim, about wasted effort of Berling's soldiers, who died on the Czerniakowski Bridgehead, about betrayal of "the ally of our allies", the city and its defenders waiting for agony.
