Promotion of the book “Faithful to the End” at the 27th General Gathering of the Salesian Congregation - Rome, 12 March 2014

On Wednesday, 12 March 2014 in Rome promotion of the publication "Faithful to the End: The Martyrdom of the „Poznań Five" during World War II. Studies and Sources" was held. The book by Dr. Rafał Sierchuła and Fr. Jarosław Wąsowicz has been published by the Poznań Branch of the Institute of National Remembrance. It is a result of the research and academic collaboration of the Institute and the Salesian Congregation. The cooperation, which has continued for several years, resulted in publications conferences and joint exhibitions.

The promotional meeting with participation of the authors of "Faithful to the End" took place within 27th General Gathering of the Salesian Congregation. It is the supreme authority over the whole Salesian Congregation. The meeting was attended by more than 200 invited delegates from over 80 countries around the world. The event on the global scene was also be an excellent opportunity to showcase the Institute of National Remembrance as an important scientific and research institution.

During the event copies of the book "Faithful to the End" were handed to the participants of the General Gathering.
