Institute of National Remembrance (Poland), Department of History, University of Ottawa and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ottawa have the honour to invite you to the opening of an exhibition „From War to Victory, 1939–1989” prepared by the Public Education Office of the Institute of National Remembrance.

The exhibition will be on display at the Desmarais Hall from 3 to 17 February 2015.

Admission free.

Location of the exhibition: Desmarais Hall, University of Ottawa, 55 Laurier East.

The exhibition presents Poland under the German and Soviet occupation, followed by the installation of Communism after the World War II. Through a selection of photographs, it tells the stories of Polish freedom fighters, the Polish Underground State, oppositional activities during the period of the Polish People's Republic as well as the development of the „Solidarity” movement and the collapse of Communist dictatorship.
