Andrei Muraru, Advisor to the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, paid a visit to the Institute of National Remembrance on March 12, 2015. At the meeting with the IPN President, Dr. Łukasz Kamiński, and Dr. Paweł Ukielski, Deputy IPN President, he introduced the concept of establishing Museum of Communism in Bucharest.

IPN representatives expressed their support and their consent to engage in cooperation within the project. Andrei Muraru was interested in the Polish experience in the creation of museum exhibitions and historical education projects. He declared that a representative of the President of Romania will participate in the opening ceremony of IPN exhibition „Operation AB - Katyń” in Bucharest.

The meeting was also devoted to the issues related to the activities of European Platform of Memory and Conscience.
