IPN published such announcement in the „Komsomolskaya Pravda" newspaper on 27 March 2015, marking the 70th anniversary of the abduction of the 16 leaders of the Polish Underground State by the NKVD.

IPN is seeking information on the sixteen leaders, especially those who did not survive the Soviet prisons - Jan Stanisław Jankowski, the Government Delegate at Home, Gen. Leopold Okulicki, the last Commander of the Home Army and Stanisław Jasiukowicz, Minister of the Government of the Republic of Poland.
